Are you going to be at the Association of Public-Safety Communications Officials (APCO) 2015 Conference on August 17-18? We are!
Join the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (S&T) and APCO for an interactive conversation on the new Next Generation First Responder
program. We’re working with responders, industry, innovators, developers and technologists to ensure that first responders are better protected, connected and fully aware – and we want your input!
By bringing together diverse voices in open collaboration, S&T and APCO are working with you to shape the future of public safety. We’re focusing on improving responder technologies to enhance the operational effectiveness and safety of our nation’s first responders. Discussions will touch on technologies that include wearables, Internet of Things (IoT) systems, deployable networks, enhanced personal protective equipment, interoperable data standards, resilient communications systems and integrated smart communities. We want to hear from you about how innovative technologies can revolutionize emergency response efforts and serve as anchors for innovation and resiliency across the country.
Please join S&T and APCO on Monday, August 17, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. EDT in the APCO 2015 Presentation Theater. Visit us before or after the Town Hall at booth #1915 in the Exhibit Hall to learn more about S&T and the Next Generation First Responder program and enjoy cutting-edge technology demonstrations. If you can’t make it in person, follow the conversation on social media: Facebook.com/FirstRespondersGroup
with the hashtag #APCO2015. We look forward to hearing your ideas so together we can ensure that first responders are better protected, connected and fully aware!
